UHCA media fellow series on TCAct2015 secondhand smoking raises risks for cancer. " Because of the risks of passive smoking, we want to ensure that the ministries responsible fast-track the process of its implementation. All stakeholders [Should] consider the adverse effect of tobacco use. More than 26% of the cancer originate from tobacco us." Says Richard Baguma, a coordinator at Uganda health Communication Alliance. For 2020, the goaal is to reduce the proportion of expossed to secondhand smoke by 10%.
