Dan Marlone Nabutsabi is a founder member of UHCA. He was the first administrator of the alliance during which he helped steer its formative and take-off stage.

Dan is a private media practitioner, and the proprietor of Marlone Multimedia, a registered media agency and a documentary film maker.

He is also passionate on health and consumer protection issues, about which he has reported with the national broadcaster, Uganda Broadcasting Corporation television (UBC TV), as a free lance journalist. He has also been contributing a weekly ‘Consumer Guide/Insight’ column to Uganda’s leading daily, the New Vision on various topics of consumer interest. Currently he is the chief executive and coordinator of the Uganda Consumer Action Network (U-CAN), an emerging consumer advocacy group.

Besides, he represents the consumers on the Electricity Regulatory Authority’s Installation Permits Committee, which is responsible for awarding permits to all wire men (electricians) in Uganda.
